Are you excited? The new iOS 4.1 is said to be released on Wednesday, September 08, 2010 which is the same day as the new iPods for the fall 2010 are suppose to go to retail. Many of you will want to update as soon as the firmware is available tomorrow. But do you think that is a good idea? The best thing to do is wait and see if people report bugs and other iphone use issues.
This new firmware is said to fix signal issues on all the iPhones from 3G, 3GS, to 4G. I can not really say they will fix the signal issues until I have actually used the 4.1 firmware because they also said the same to the 4.0.2 firmware update but it never made the signal better. The major part of this new iPhones 4.1 update is for the iPhone 3G users. Apple has said iPhone 3G users will experience better and faster phone speeds. The 4.0 slowed the iPhone 3G because of its multitasking feature so the 4.1 firmware update will not have multitasking for its 3G users.
For those users that are using another carrier other than AT&T must wait until the new jailbreak and unlock is released. Many 3GS users are still waiting for the 4.0.2 unlock to use their phones so its best not to upgrade to 4.1 which will make the wait time longer.
